At English Skills, we believe that teaching and learning go hand in hand. Our teachers are professionals who take their craft seriously and are continually upskilling in order to offer learners the best possible English learning experience.
Skills – Research has shown that 95% of employers in many non-native English-speaking countries consider it important for employees to be proficient in the English skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Mission – We believe in equipping our learners for work and for life. For that to happen, we ensure that they receive English training around the four primary skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. When these language skills are effectively interwoven with their enabling skills of grammar, oral fluency, pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and written discourse, learners become communicatively competent.

Mala Moktar is the founder of English Skills, a teacher by profession and a student at heart. She has worked in education in Singapore, UK and France in the roles of tutor, teacher, senior manager and director of teachers both in state and private schools. Mala has developed a passion for indoor composting and has a real affection for her red wrigglers!

Sani Moktar is a co-founder of English Skills. He has a fixation for the nitty gritty of English grammar and a passion for teaching English. Sani has worked in the fields of cross-cultural training, supported housing, and substance addiction counselling. Throughout his various careers, Sani communicated in English!

Sueanne Mocktar is passionate about communications. After spending over 15 years in business communications and marketing, she remains in love with the English Language and continues to learn new things about it. Aside from that, she loves getting lost in the world of movies and art galleries.
